After some idiot smashed my window, I was struggling really hard to find a new pane of glass. I found Yorkshire Glass near Wingate Junction. I was... met by the receptionist call Sarah. She was so helpful. As I was desperate for the glass due to my shop being open to the elements, they did a rapid cut for me while I went for a sandwich. After about 30 minutes, it was ready and perfect just what I needed and it really got me out of a sticky hole. What an amazing company don’t often use glass companies but if I need glass again this is a place to come. Highly recommend. Also, I found out they do mirrors to size and glass splashback. What is the best glass thickness for a shower door?
The glass used for shower doors is usually between 6mm and 10mm thick. The exact thickness you need will depend on the size of the door, whether it is framed, semi-framed, or frameless and the style of your bath.
Can my shower screen be made opaque?
Yes, the glass on your shower screen can be sandblasted to give you give an opaque, frosted appearance. We can also offer printed or coloured glass options.
What is the standard size of a shower screen?
A standard shower screen is usually between 66 and 140cm wide and between 100 and 210 cm high. We offer custom options for both size and glass width so your shower screen fits perfectly into your space.
Do you offer a measure and fit service?
Yes, we offer a fitting and measuring services to customers in Leeds and the surrounding areas. Please contact us for more information.
Does the glass comply with safety standards?
Absolutely, all our shower screens comply with the safety standard for glass EN12150.
Do you offer any guarantees?
Our glass splashbacks can be cut and the edges polished to any shape you care to design. Typically, they are rectangular to fit under kitchen cupboards but if you want something truly bespoke that’s not a problem for our team.
Can a glass splashback be used behind the hob?
For your total peace of mind we offer a X guarantee on all our glass products.
